For the Paradise Found Restaurant and Bar in Goodland, Florida there were many. As new restaurant opening in Goodland’s oldest historic building which had been the long term home of the Old Marco Lodge Crab House until closed by the damages from hurricane Irma a few years ago, the challenges were many.
Most importantly –
- Get the new website up as quickly as possible once they were open.
- Showcase the new restaurant’s improvements and enhancements.
- Have the website be easy to expand and change as the Paradise Found enhances their menu, entertainment, hours and specials.
- Establish the new name and restaurant and bar offerings.
- Integrate with social media such as Trip Advisor, Yelp and others.
- Build from the history of the building and its life as a long time local food and drink establishment. Including using search results
After initial contact and order by the owner, we had the website up with the menu in place within the week.
Rather than use a single page or linked image/pdf for the menu we innovated and made the menu where it is easy to edit or add each item. We can even add individual drinks and bar specials. This makes it easy and quick to make changes. More importantly it means that the menu is east to read across all types of devices/displays even small phones.
And everything is separately and jointly indexed in search engines. From the business name, to the images and descriptions, to the restaurant and bar features, the views and boat docks, to each entertainer and days … on down to each individual menu item.
As with all our websites this site is based on StudioPress Genesis. The hosting of the new website now also includes the HTTPS protocol and an SSL certificate that allows to obtain better SEO and provide a secure experience for visitors to the site. It’s fully mobile-responsive, meeting Google’s best practice recommendations. All at no additional cost.
