Pinterest is the overnight social media sensation that has been two years in the making. Some small business websites are receiving very significant traffic from Pinterest. There is no doubt that Pinterest is in a very rapid compound growth phase and many businesses, particularly businesses with products and services that render well visually, can benefit.
Pinterest though is not like Facebook or Twitter or LinkedIn. It is different and very visually orientated, users are actually creating a virtual pin board of their activities, interests and ideas. In many cases your products, linked back to your site, can be part of an individual’s pin board. Creating links and traffic to your website. (If properly configured.)
