Yes it is possible to add an opt-in box. Not within the Bludomain flash pages as it will violate Blu's copyright. But it is very easy to do if you "wrap" the Blu site with WordPress using my Kertesz II to replace the splash page and add more flexibility to the other pages like "About", "Investment", "Contact" and the such. Not to over look the integrated Blog. And you get a huge search marketing boost.

Hi Nick,

I appreciate your comment's points and taking my call this morning so we could have a discussion. I learned something. In light of the conversation and the areas of agreement, I feel the need to make some clarifications.

You are correct that Show-It has a self hosting option which allows full control of the hosting account owned by the user, and I may have given the reader an understanding that Show-It did not.. But the Show-It self hosting option does not permit hosting of the full site including Flash content, but rather the hosting of the site's generated HTML pages used to present the Flash content which remains hosted with Show-It. This "double hosting" configuration (HTML on one server, Flash site application on Show-it's server) is better than some, but is not as good as Bludomain which allows full self hosting of all site Flash content and application. It also creates the situation where a Show-It user can have on-going payments to both Show-It and a third party hosting company for regular site operation. Something which doesn't happen with Bludomain where you buy the site and then chose hosting option, although there is a one time n additional install charge if you choose not to host with Bludomain

While not the sole reason why a Bludomain site will SEO better, but Bludomain's site configuration regardless of host offers a significant advantage over Show-It's in that; with Blu additional applications such as WordPress can be installed in the main domain. Show-It, as we agreed, requires WordPress to be installed in a sub-domain. Unfortunately Google treats sub-domains much like totally separate and different domains from the users main domain, significantly diminishing potential for improved page rank and other SEO benefits.

Show-It is to be commended for being one of the very few that has deep linking to the page level. In this way it is decidedly better than Bludomain. Although in practice, much of the site content such as Introduction, Contact, Investment, About, FAQ is offloaded into WordPress where it SEOs much better than in either Show-it or Bludomain.

Thank you again, Nick. Your comment and our follow-up conversation was very helpful and enjoyable

Hi There,
Your articles is just a bit off, and I would like to make a few corrections. You claim that Showit does not give you access to your hosting, which is not accurate. Those who choose to host themselves have full control.

You also claim that the sole reason why Blu sites rank high is because they are being hosted by themselves?

Lastly, Showit has a feature called "deep linking" which means you can access any page of the flash site with it's own URL. Furthermore, you can export these html pages on place them on your server so that you have a cloned site in HTML.

I could go on to list the inaccuracies in your article but I really suggest you do more research on Showit before writing an articles like this.
