Presented here are the five best free Genesis child themes I have found at the close of 2012. I wanted to explore what was available and what are some “in-the-wild” innovations. What I found is some free child themes are the equal or better of some of StudioPress’ own offerings or the StudioPress Community themes. It was a very pleasant surprise to find these free theme “treasures”. I hope that if you have any favorite free Genesis child themes you will add them in the comments.

Now fortunately there is new free Genesis child theme named BlogNews that shares many of the desirable features of the first Streamline AND includes all the great elements and features of current WordPress + Genesis AND is mobile responsive.
